Dan founded Or-Hof Law with a vision to create an environment of excellence with a personal touch to innovators. His expertise is derived from both academic and practical experience, with extensive knowledge of the technology and innovation industry.

 

Dan is a New York and Israeli attorney with over 20 years of experience. He holds an LLM degree from UC Berkeley and the Tel Aviv University (summa cum laude) and he is a certified privacy professional (CIPP/E; CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP).

 

In 2020, together with partners from the EU and USA, Dan has also formed Strand Advisory, an international privacy and cyber security consulting firm and he currently serves as the firm’s CEO.

 

Dan has founded and he the first (retired) co-chair of the IAPP KnowledgeNet Tel Aviv chapter. He currently chairs the Israeli Data Protection Professionals Forum (IDPF) and he is a member of a cyber security task force of the Israeli bar association. Dan also serves as a member of the Privacy Protection Public Council and advises the Israeli government and Knesset on privacy bills and regulations, and contributes to privacy legislation in Israel.



Dan lectures at the Tel Aviv University, he authored numerous guides, opinions, articles and position papers on data protection and privacy regulation, and he is a frequent speaker and commentator.
