Kristen Mathews is a cyber, data and privacy partner in Cooley LLP's New York office. For more than 20 years, her practice has focused on advising clients on the full spectrum of the most complex privacy and cybersecurity issues, including regulatory and compliance matters and cybersecurity breaches. Her privacy and cybersecurity experience includes guiding clients on compliance with data privacy laws, such as laws that regulate the collection, use and sharing of personal and experiential information about individuals, financial privacy, data monetization, adtech, neural privacy, kid and teen tech, biometrics, genetic privacy, direct marketing, artificial intelligence, and ethical tech. An early leader in the privacy sphere, Mathews has developed comprehensive knowledge and long-term perspective, cultivated a client base across a broad range of industries, and established herself as one of the top lawyers in her field.
Mathews has been a Certified Information Privacy Professional since 2005.
