Senior Legal Counsel

Christopher Berzins is a senior legal counsel in the General Counsel’s Office of the Ontario Securities Commission providing advice on access to information, privacy, employment law, and administrative law. He has a B.A., an M.A., and an LL.B. from Queen’s University and an LL.M. in administrative law from Osgoode. He has published numerous legal articles including judicial review of Ontario’s IPC, critical assessments of  PIPEDA and the FOIPPA, access and privacy issues in administrative agencies, public disclosures by public bodies, rulemaking by labour relations boards, review of adjudicative decisions by the Ombudsman, and the right to be forgotten.
