About the IAPP

Nick Merker is an Associate Vice President, Assistant General Counsel - Information Security and Privacy for Eli Lilly and Company. Prior to joining Eli Lilly and Company earlier this year, Nick spent 12+ years in private practice helping clients understand legal risk in the area of cybersecurity and privacy. He has helped clients wade through high stress security incidents and the most complex multi-national compliance issues. Becoming becoming an attorney, Nick was a computer scientist with a 10+ year pre-law technology career as a systems, network and security engineer.
