William Rippon
William J. Rippon joined IBM in 1985 at the T. J. Watson Research Center and is currently the Chief Information Security Officer for the IBM Research Division. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of information technology with a focus on security, data networking and services, as well as real-time communications. He has played a key role in the development and deployment of advanced solutions at both the divisional and corporate levels. Currently, Mr. Rippon is actively engaged in leading efforts related to enterprise security, privacy and compliance. He is the author or coauthor of multiple patents and technical papers. Mr. Rippon holds the following industry certifications; CISSP #72768, CIPP/US and CIPT.
