Associate Managing Director, Cyber Risk Practice

Mark Farley is an associate managing director in the Cyber Risk practice of Kroll, based in Singapore. He has over 13 years of experience in helping clients with cyber security matters, of which the last four have been spent leading Kroll’s proactive cyber security team in London. His key areas of expertise include:

acting as virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) on the management board of listed technology and FinTech firms and global manufacturing corporates to implement systemic improvements and building up permanent in-house cyber security capability.acting for buyers and financial sponsors on time sensitive cyber security due diligence exercises in connection with high value corporate mergers and acquisitions, with specialist experience of where the target has been the subject of cyber breaches or ransomware.guiding clients through major cyber incident response by providing incident management and strategic support.leading complex cyber security assessments which are tailored to client needs, such as Red Team, Purple Team and Advisory Simulation engagements.

Prior to joining Kroll, Mark held cyber security roles in the UK government’s central intelligence and security organisation (GCHQ) and Defence, Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) in addition to a five year spell in the cyber security consulting arm of a Big Four professional services firm. Mark has an MSc in Software and Systems Security from the University of Oxford and an MEng in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Bristol. He also holds the following professional qualifications:
