About the IAPP

Tanja is a Privacy and AI Compliance Business Partner at ASML, the world’s leading supplier to the semiconductor industry. At ASML, she is developing the company’s AI compliance program and leading several initiatives related to responsible AI. 

A legal professional with over a decade of experience, she has advised on privacy, data protection, and AI-related matters across the public sector, regulatory bodies, and corporate environments. Prior to joining ASML, she served as a Senior Advisor in data protection law at the Ministry of Justice of Finland where she led many legislative initiatives. Additionally, she held roles at a national privacy supervisory authority. Tanja also contributed to EU-level policy as part of the Council’s Working Party on Information Exchange and Data Protection, acting also as its Vice Chair in 2019.
