Kieran Donovan is a partner at Latham & Watkins’ Hong Kong office and leads the firm’s Data & Technology Transactions Practice. Named as Data Privacy Lawyer of the Year, he is experienced in advising clients across various industries with data privacy and cybersecurity issues.

Mr. Donovan specializes in helping clients navigate complex cross-border data protection risks, including building out global compliance programs, operationalizing privacy-by-design, data transfers and sharing, industry engagement, development and deployment of regtech, proactive and reactive regulatory response, law enforcement management, as well as incident response and breach reporting. Mr. Donovan has a wide range of expertise advising clients from various sectors, but his principal focus has been on the technology, gaming, internet, social media and Fintech industries. Alongside a broad specialism in complex data matters, Mr. Donovan advises clients on the development, deployment and commercialization of disruptive technologies.
