About the IAPP

Daniel Rodríguez Maffioli is an attorney, consultant, and founder of Datalex Latam, a Central American law firm specializing in technology law and policy, where he advises corporations and start-ups in matters related to AI, cybersecurity, data privacy and tech transactions. Rodríguez Maffioli has consulted for UNESCO, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development on technology policy projects. He holds Master's degrees from Duke University in Technology Law and IP and Carlos III University of Madrid in Economic Regulation. In 2024, he was recognized by the prestigious legal directory Chambers and Partners in their 2025 rankings in the technology area.
