Joanna Rozanska, CIPP/E, CIPP/US
Joanna Rozanska is a senior associate in the IP/TMT department at Hogan Lovells' Madrid office, where she advises on information technology law and data protection for EU-based and international clients across diverse industries, including finance, insurance, technology, and health care. Before joining Hogan Lovells, Rozanska worked with top-tier Spanish and international law firms, specializing in privacy and information technology law, and also served as in-house counsel for a global leader in travel software.
She holds a Master of Law in Intellectual Property and New Technologies Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid and an Expert Certificate in Data Protection and Cybersecurity from IE Law School. She is also certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals with CIPP/E and CIPP/US credentials, among others.
Drawing on her experience with software companies, Rozanska advises on emerging privacy technologies and complex data protection initiatives, covering national and international privacy law compliance, privacy by design, program governance, privacy assessments, policy implementation, vendor management, international data transfers, and data breach response.
She is also skilled in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex technology agreements critical to digital transformation, including SaaS contracts, technology tool implementations, on-premise software licenses, IP rights assignments, software distribution, IT consulting, and software development agreements, among others.
A passionate advocate for data protection with a global perspective, Rozanska views privacy as a strategic business enabler, essential for building trust and fostering sustainable growth.
