Principal Applied Scientist

Seyi Feyisetan is a Principal Applied Scientist at Amazon where he leads research and engineering efforts on privacy across Alexa and Amazon devices. His work included providing guidance to teams building machine learning models and requiring access to data. He holds multiple (pending) patents with Amazon on privacy. Prior to that, Seyi was a Staff Research Scientist at Meta (aka Facebook) where he led privacy research on differential privacy and secure multiparty computation within the ads ecosystem.



Prior to his work in the US, Seyi spent 7 years in the UK where he worked at different startups and institutions focusing on regulatory compliance, machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) within the finance sector. Most recently he worked at the Bank of America on the European MiFID II and Swiss FinfraG compliance regulations.

 

Seyi holds a PhD from the University of Southampton and a master’s from King’s College London. He has served as a Senior PC and published at top tier conferences and journals on crowdsourcing, homo-morphic encryption, and privacy. He is the lead organizer of the PrivateNLP workshop series and has been a guest speaker at universities in the US and UK. Seyi is also a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
