About the IAPP

Manuela specializes in information technology, privacy and intellectual property law. She graduated as a lawyer from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in 2012. In 2017 she earned a LL.M degree on Intellectual Property and Knowledge Management from Maastricht University, the Netherlands, where she was granted a UM Holland - High Potential Scholarship. Her Master thesis “Big Data: an ownership and access feud” was nominated for the Jan Brouwer Scriptieprijzen 2018. She is also a EU certified Data Protection Officer.

Manuela has relevant working experience in different areas, from Fortune 500 companies to technological start-ups and tier 1 law firms, giving her a broad understanding of the different players and their needs in the market. Her practice encompasses a wide range of activities including privacy and data protection, negotiations of international data protection transfers and agreements, IT M&A transactions, IP agreements, IT agreements, anti-counterfeiting and trademark protection. She also has experience as brand protection analyst, where she advises multinational consumer goods companies on different strategies on how to protect their intellectual property portfolio. She has working experience in the Netherlands as data protection officer, and has a deep understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation in Europe. She is a member of the European Intellectual Property Network.
