International Association of Privacy Professionals Announces the 2013 Executive Committee

Brendon Lynch, CIPP/US, chief privacy officer, Microsoft Corporation, to serve as Chairman

Portsmouth, NH – February 20, 2013 – Today the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) announced new roles within the executive committee along with the selection of three new directors to its board. The executive committee changes include the appointment of Brendon Lynch, CIPP/US, chief privacy officer, Microsoft Corporation, to serve as Chairman. The 2013 IAPP Executive Committee includes:

Scott Taylor, CIPP/US, vice president and chief privacy officer, Hewlett-Packard Company, to serve as Vice Chairman
Henriette Tielemans, partner, Covington & Burling LLP, to serve as Secretary
James M. Byrne, CIPP/G, CIPP/IT, CIPP/US, chief privacy officer and associate general counsel, Lockheed Martin Corporation, to serve as Treasurer
Jeff Green, CIPP/C, vice president of compliance, RBC Royal Bank, to serve as Past Chairman

The IAPP also announced three new Board of Directors members:

Keith Enright currently serves as senior privacy counsel at Google. Prior to joining Google in March 2011, Enright served as chief privacy officer and vice president for Macy’s, Inc., and as chief privacy officer and director, enterprise information policy, for Limited Brands, Inc. His experience also includes time as a senior consultant and privacy technology lead at the IBM Business Consulting Services Public Sector Security, Privacy and Wireless Practice, and general counsel and vice president of if ISP relations at Adknowledge, Inc.
Gabriela Krader is the corporate data protection officer for Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) where she is responsible for group-wide policies and strategies in the area of data protection and privacy, and coordinates with offices located in 220 countries representing approximately 470,000 employees. As formally appointed data protection officer, Krader represents most German-based group companies under the German Federal Data Protection Act.
Hilary Wandall is chief privacy officer and attorney for Merck & Co., Inc. In this role she leads the privacy office, which oversees Merck’s global privacy program, as well as manages worldwide privacy and data protection issues related to biomedical research, pharmaceutical operations and marketing, human resources, data governance and electronic communications. Wandall also advises on corporate governance, securities, corporate communications, compliance, transactional, corporate responsibility and other corporate legal matters for Merck. Previously, she served as an assistant privacy officer in the Merck privacy office, and worked as Internet marketing initiatives and Internet privacy as a promotion manager.
