Privacy Commissioner of Canada Daniel Therrien announced details of his office's 2022-2023 departmental plan. He said the plan will focus on continuing "to build on our efforts to contribute to the adoption of new federal privacy laws and prepare the Office for changes stemming from these reforms." Noting how federal privacy law updates are "building trust among Canadians" and "fostering innovation," Therrien explained the office is "reviewing potential operational and structural changes as well as what additional resources will be required to fulfill our new responsibilities."
