European parliamentary committees approve AI Act agreement

European Parliament committees approved the proposed Artificial Intelligence Act. The Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection and the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs voted 71-8 to send the proposal to a full vote during Parliament's plenary session 10-11 April. Editor's note: The IAPP released an infographic outlining the key dates for implementation for provisions of the AI Act.
