BBC News reports WhatsApp is rewriting its privacy notice in Europe and the U.K. following a 225 million euro fine issued by Ireland’s Data Protection Commission over alleged EU General Data Protection Regulation violations. WhatsApp said the revisions will “add additional detail around our existing practices” and the update “does not change how we process, use or share user data with anyone, including (parent company) Meta, nor does it change how we operate our service.”
