United Parcel Service announced an expansion of a 2019 deal with Google Cloud that will increase network, storage and computing capacity, The Wall Street Journal reports. UPS would continue to utilize Google’s artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to analyze incoming data. This could further expand when UPS begins inserting more radio-frequency identification chips on packages, which the company already uses for its Premiere level of service.
