An anonymous Ukrainian cybersecurity researcher is believed to have infiltrated a Russian ransomware group and disclosed their internal chat logs, The Verge reports. Conti, a ransomware group, previously threatened any party with attacks if they were to launch a cyberattack against Russia, amid its invasion of Ukraine. The leak amounted to a year’s worth of chat records of at least 20 users, presumed to be group members. The leak also reportedly shed light on the group’s ties to Russian intelligence.
