European Union Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders said the European Commission is "not naive" about the U.K.'s data plans, Euractiv reports. Lawmakers in Brussels have expressed concern to Reynders about the U.K.'s approach after Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Secretary of State Oliver Dowden said Britain plans to reform its data protection laws following its split with the EU. Reynders said the commission is prepared to suspend data transfers with the U.K. should its rules diverge too far from EU standards.
