The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada alleged Canada Post is unlawfully building a marketing database with personal information pulled from mail items, CTV News reports. An OPC investigation and proceeding report claimed the postal service's nonconsensual collection of personal data violated Section 5 of the Privacy Act.
