In a blog post, Mozilla announced it is partnering with the nonprofit newsroom The Markup on a project to examine how Facebook’s tracking tools collect data on its users. The partnership will be done through Mozilla’s data privacy sharing platform, Rally. Rally invited users to participate by browsing the internet to help Mozilla and The Markup learn how Facebook’s pixel-powered advertising network tracks users online.
