U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris held a meeting with constitutional law, privacy and technology experts to discuss the impact of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, Spectrum News NY1 reports. They focused on three core policy outcomes: data privacy, in-vitro fertilization availability and contraception access. In the event various states criminalize abortion procedures, Harris and data privacy experts discussed how those states could subpoena women’s personal data, such as searching various medical terms online related to their reproductive health.
