Roblox, an online gaming platform, claimed in a legal filing the fees associated to ensure user privacy in Apple’s App Store were necessary to ensure the legitimacy of an application, Reuters reports. The filing came in an appeal brought by Epic Games in a U.S. antitrust lawsuit. Epic appealed a ruling to the 9th U.S. Circuit of Appeals that sided with Apple over the competitiveness of its payment rules for app makers. Epic had claimed Apple waived fees for Roblox.
