Gizmodo reports the U.S. Federal Trade Commission is investigating Amazon over the potential use of "dark patterns" in its promotions for Prime services. The investigation focuses on alleged deceptive practices used for Prime membership signups and unclear cancellation policies. Amazon Prime Vice President Jamil Ghani said subscription designs are "simple and transparent." The FTC has not provided an update on its probe.
