The U.S. Federal Trade Commission announced it filed a complaint against prison communications provider Global Tel Link for ineffective cybersecurity measures and failing to notify consumers after a data breach. The FTC claims Global Tel Link did not have a secure firewall and experienced a data breach that led to consumers' personal information leaking on the dark web.
