CNN Business Editor Samantha Murphy Kelly wrote about her experience testing the privacy features of Apple’s Bluetooth trackers, AirTags. Kelly clipped the tracker onto her son’s backpack, which she said “highlighted how easily these trackers could be used to track another person.” Apple said the trackers are meant for items only, like keys or wallets, with safeguards added to prevent unwanted tracking, but privacy advocates raised concerns. Research firm IDC Director Ramon Llamas said, “This is a work in progress.”
