The U.S. House passed the Modernizing the Acquisition of Cybersecurity Experts Act, which would prohibit federal agencies from implementing minimum education requirements for cybersecurity jobs, FedScoop reports. Under the act, agencies could mandate minimum education requirements "only if a minimum education qualification is required by law to perform the duties of the position." The bill will move on to the Senate for consideration.
