Twitter may not be fulfilling requirements to claim Ireland as its main establishment under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, TechCrunch reports. If Ireland is not the platform's main establishment, Twitter will no longer qualify for participation in the GDPR's one-stop-shop mechanism. The Irish Data Protection Commission also took notice of the resignation of privacy and security employees, and met with representatives from Twitter as a data protection officer is required for the company under the GDPR.
