In this episode of The Privacy Advisor Podcast, host Angelique Carson, CIPP/US, chats with Robbert van Eijk, who recently joined the Future of Privacy Forum as its managing director for Europe. Before his most recent gig, van Eijk worked at the Dutch data protection authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, for nearly 10 years. He also represented the European data protection authorities in negotiations of the World Wide Web Consortium on Do Not Track. Carson and van Eijk discuss why Do Not Track failed, what has to change for the future of online advertising to thrive, and what it’s like working as a technologist within the walls of a data protection authority.
