Bloomberg reports the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is probing X, formerly Twitter, over insufficient disclosures related to its 2018 data breach. The SEC's investigation focuses on the platform's alleged privacy issues that led to the breach and why the problems weren't previously disclosed to shareholders. In Europe, Ireland's Data Protection Commission fined X 450,000 euros over the breach in December 2020.
