NZ OPC opens consultation on children's privacy

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand opened a consultation seeking input from children, their families and wider community as part of a project on children's privacy. Privacy Commissioner Michael Webster said New Zealand's Privacy Act specifies requirements for the collection of children's and young people's personal information. "We want to know whether these requirements are working well, or whether we need to do more to guide organisations that collect and use children's personal information," he said.
