Israel's Privacy Protection Authority, the Competition Authority, and the Consumer Protection and Fair Trade Authority have published a policy paper on the main considerations to be taken into account for adopting data portability rights. The agencies state in the paper that data portability rights must give citizens the opportunity to have their information securely sent to them online in a readable format at no additional cost. Public comments on the paper must be delivered by Jan. 24.
