European Data Protection Supervisor Wojciech Wiewiórowski voiced concerns about aspects of U.K. data protection reform that could affect EU-U.K. adequacy, Compliance Week reports. Wiewiórowski said data transfers between the EU and the U.K. under the current U.K. reform proposal are of no concern, but "there are concerns about how — and with whom — that data is then shared when transferred outside of the U.K." Overall, Wiewiórowski said the proposal is "professionally thought-out and are not just political propaganda," however, he's "a little afraid" of proposed changes to the U.K. Information Commissioner's Office's structure.
