The California Privacy Protection Agency Board approved a legislative proposal that would require internet browsers to provide notice of users' rights to opt out of the sharing and sale of their personal information. The law, if approved, would mean users would only have to choose to opt-out once through a preference signal, something large internet browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari have declined to offer, according to the board.
