The privacy advocacy group NOYB asked Austria's Data Protection Authority to investigate Meta's free product option, saying it is too difficult to withdraw consent unless you want the paid subscription service, Reuters reports. The complaint builds on the group's prior filing arguing against Meta users having to pay to ensure privacy while using the product. Editor's note: The IAPP's Joe Duball reported on the EDPB's binding decision to ban Meta's targeted ads.
