The Verge reports WhatsApp stepped back intentions to limit functionality to users who don't accept its privacy policy changes by May 15. Instead of a hard cut-off for noncompliance, WhatsApp will use a phased approach to ensure users accept its policy changes. That approach will include consistent application reminders for a few weeks prior to limited functionality and then a complete loss of functionality.
