Axios reports a subcommittee of the Virginia House Committee on Courts of Justice halted a bill to protect women's menstrual tracking data from search warrants. The Republican-led committee passed on Senate Bill 852, advancing the bill via a 5-3 vote. Despite passing the Senate, Virginia Deputy Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Maggie Cleary told the committee final passage of the bill "would ultimately open the door to put further limits on search warrants down the road."
