Employees of video game maker Activision had their personal data breached in a phishing attack in December 2022, but the company reportedly did not notify them until recently, TechCrunch reports. The data breach was unknown to employees until researchers with cybersecurity group vx-underground posted screenshots of stolen data and the hacker’s message on Activision’s company Slack channel. In a statement, the company said “no sensitive employee data, game code, or player data was accessed,” but hackers reportedly accessed personally identifiable information of employees.
