The Biden administration will hire a former Microsoft executive and former Central Intelligence Agency official to strengthen the Office of the National Cyber Director, CNN reports. Kemba Eneas Walden headed Microsoft's program to fight ransomware attacks and will serve as principal deputy national cyber director. Former senior CIA official Neal Higgins, who specialized in cybersecurity and open-source collection, and former Obama administration cyber policy official Rob Knake have also joined the ONCD in senior roles.
