U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation Chair Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., said TikTok owner ByteDance may have more time to divest the company under a Senate version of a bill requiring them to do so or face a ban, Reuters reports. The new deadline would put any potential ban into 2025.
