More specifically, the U.S. government hasn't actively played up the benefits of Section 702 data checks in instances of combating cyberattacks on government systems. U.S. Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., said he is "frustrated that more of these compelling examples have not yet been made public," indicating it must be made clear the U.S. uses Section 702 to "not risk sources and methods."
