U.S. President Joe Biden renominated U.S. Federal Trade Commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter to a new term. If reappointed by Senate confirmation, Slaughter would serve a seven-year term retroactive to September 2022. FTC Chair Lina Khan said Slaughter is "a model commissioner, whose leadership and expertise have deeply enriched the FTC’s vital work." The agency is awaiting nomination of a Republican commissioner to round out its five-commissioner bench.
