U.S. Sens. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., released a redraft of the proposed Kids Online Safety Act that now carries 62 Senate co-sponsors and a coalition of stakeholder endorsements. The new draft would move some enforcement power from state attorneys general to the Federal Trade Commission while including other changes would affect the filter bubble amendment and preemption clauses.
