CNET reports an IBM Security survey revealed the average cost of a data breach increased to $4.4 million. The analysis is based on 550 data breaches observed worldwide between March 2021 to March 2022. The average cost of a breach increased by 2.6% from a year ago and 13% since 2020. The survey also showed more than half of the organizations surveyed increased prices for their products and services to account for the costs associated with a breach.
