The National Privacy Commission of the Philippines is advocating for the adoption of data protection and security standards put forth by the International Organization for Standardization. The NPC issued advisories to Philippine businesses on four standards for data processors and controllers of all sizes. Deputy Privacy Commissioner John Henry Naga said the advisories and general advocacy for the ISO were merely part of the NPC's duties.
