Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission issued enforcement actions against organizations found to have violated the Personal Data Protection Act. The PDPC fined Sendtech $9,000 for inadequately protecting personal data resulting in unauthorized access to data stored in its Amazon Web Services account. A penalty of $13,500 was imposed on SAP Asia for failure to protect former employees’ personal data resulting in unauthorized disclosure to unintended recipients. Seriously Keto was fined $8,000 following a ransomware attack in which personal data stored on its server was accessed.
