The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois ruled new lawsuits claiming TikTok violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act are not covered by the company's 2022 settlement, Biometric Update reports. After TikTok's 2022 settlement, the company agreed to restrict its use of personally identifiable data and was "forced to promise to not collect biometrics from subscribers."
