U.S. taxpayers who want to view their tax records online are still required to submit personal identifying information to Internal Revenue Service contractor ID.me, The Wall Street Journal reports. Copies of driver’s licenses, Social Security cards and other documents must be submitted to ID.me as proof of identity to access tax records. ID.me would also require individuals to submit a selfie or conduct an online video with a representative.
