Countries participating in the International Counter Ransomware Initiative released a joint statement that included government commitments to not pay ransoms. The joint policy statement was signed by all 50 members. The coalition's 2023 meeting also featured commitments to create "a mentorship and tactical training program for new CRI members" and intentions to "leverage artificial intelligence to counter ransomware."
