The Courier and Press reports Indiana's Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation claims the records of students who were arrested by the schools' police officers are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Federal authorities told the school district FERPA only relates to educational records and does not protect students arrest records.
